I bought mine at Bed Bath and Beyond because mine just died and I needed one immediately. I was all excited with the cordless feature, what a great innovation!
Not so much…
I couldn’t turn it on… I let it charge for a total of 7 hours unsuccessfully, I was never able to turn it on.
I re-read the manual several time and nowhere is indicated the number of hours needed to charge it. After googling it, I quickly realized that numerous other ladies encountered the same problem.
I decided to bring it back to Bed Bath and Beyond and traded it for the corded model. The lady at the customer service told me that they have quite some returns on this model concerning the battery… You have been warned!
The product is good.It comes with soothing strips which I have never used. The product cannot be used on face(upper lips), the instruction manual does not mention face.
This was the first time I used this product after years of waxing.The epilator works like a razor as it is not able to pull the smaller and finer hair.Working through the under arms area is pretty painful. Also the skin gets stuck sometime if not pulled taut.
Also it consumes a lot of time.Overall I did not like the product.I would like to use the traditional waxing method.
Product is reliable, wet or dry, although if using wet you might have to go over the same area more than once. My daughter used it for her first leg shaving/epilation and it worked very well.
I am a first time user of the epilator. Before I made my purchase, I did lots and lots of research. This was the model I finally decided on.
The first time I used it, I did so dry. It stung a little, but nothing more than tweezing out hairs. And after a few minutes, I didn’t feel anything at all! The second time I used it, I did so in the shower. I think I actually prefer using it wet. The pain was lesser, sort of felt like shaving over razor burn, but after the first pass I felt nothing!
I have thick, dark leg hair, and shaving used to leave me with stubble, razor burn and you could still see the hairs below the surface. With this epilator, I have pain for just a second, and yes at first there are red marks, but they disappear after a few hours. I use it at night and by the morning, the red marks are completely gone. The light on it is absolutely great and illuminates hairs I couldn’t see. I use the higher speed as I find this hurts less than the slower speed. I also used the shaver head and it’s pretty good too!
I must confess, I didn’t actually buy it on Amazon. I signed up for Bed Bath and Beyond’s email and they sent me a coupon for 20% off a single item. I went to their store, bought the epilator which they have priced at $119, with my coupon it saved me $24!!
In closing, I love this thing and will never, ever go back to shaving.
